The record writes itself, because it is the work

Deliberation, governance, workflow, content, outcomes, search, and agent access. Seven things that stop being separate the moment the reasoning behind a decision is captured as it happens.

How Danely works

Governance that keeps up with the work

Four things change when the reasoning is captured as the work happens, rather than assembled in the three weeks before an audit.

Your policies, not ours

Danely cites your policies, ensuring your delegation matrix and approval policies stay authoritative.

We cite your documents. We don't replace them.

The reasoning, not just the result

Store the reasoning behind a decision; options weighed, risks named, alternatives turned down.

The why survives the people who knew it.

AI advises, you decide

The assistant assembles evidence and proposes structure. It never approves anything. Sign-off is always a person.

AI on tap for the actor, never on top.

The audit is already written

Every decision records what is actually seen. You get the citations, the context, the judgement calls at will. Ask the question, get the file.

Audit becomes navigation, not investigation.

Deliberation

Decisions that carry their reasoning

A deliberation holds the thesis, the options, the risks and assumptions, and the citations for one decision. Your team's exploratory work stays in the tools they already use. Danely is needed the moment they start writing down the reasoning worth keeping.

  • Assumptions, risks, and rejected alternatives recorded as first-class items, not buried in a paragraph
  • The assistant proposes structure and pulls in supporting material; the judgements stay yours
  • Sign-off records what the signer saw, not merely that they signed

Policy, procedures & controls

Your governance, codified and not replaced

Your delegation-of-authority matrix, segregation-of-duties policy and standard operating procedures stay authoritative. Danely holds them as cited sources and derives a visible chain from them. Capturing the board's intent, the measurable requirement, and the control that implements it.

  • Source documents quoted directly, with stable section references and effective dates
  • Procedures kept separate from controls. The how-to and the check are different things
  • When a source is superseded, everything still citing the old version surfaces for review
1 Advisory, you are told, you proceed
2 Declare how you satisfied it
3 Cite the email, ticket, or document
4 Evidence checked, not just claimed
5 Blocked; override goes to review
6 Pre-approval required, no override

Set each control where it belongs today, and move it either way as you learn. Relaxing a control is a recorded act with a reason and a date to revisit — because a control nobody can relax is a control nobody will adopt.

Workflow

Work that arrives already routed

Work reaches the right person with context attached. What somebody owes is tracked with a name and date attached.

  • Routing follows your authority matrix, so nobody has to remember where the boundary lies.
  • Obligations carry an owner and a due date, staying visible until they close
  • Open and overdue work is visible without asking anyone for a status update

Content

Nothing is overwritten

Policies, procedures, and supporting documents are versioned. A policy from three years ago and the decision taken under it both still read exactly as they did at the time.

  • Corrections are recorded as corrections; nothing is quietly edited away
  • Every version stays readable, with the person and the date attached
  • The document your auditor saw last year is still the document they saw

Outcomes

The file stays open after the decision

Every decision records what it expected to happen: the number, the date, the condition that would count as success. Later, what actually happened is recorded against it. Not as a retrospective somebody scheduled and half-completed, but as the same file with the original reasoning still attached.

  • Expected outcomes captured at the moment of signing, while the forecast is still honest
  • A decision that did not land is shown with the reasoning that produced it intact rather than quietly revised
  • Ask which of last year's approvals delivered what they promised, and get an answer instead of a project

Agent access

Let the AI do the work. Not the signing.

Danely speaks the protocol your AI tools already use. An assistant can draft the deliberation, gather the citations, chase the obligations, and assemble the pack. The same work a capable analyst does, at the speed you would expect. What it cannot do is put a name to a judgement. Attestation is reserved to people, and not as a setting somebody could change.

  • Connect the AI tools your team already uses, through one governed connection rather than an integration per tool
  • An agent sees only what the person it acts for is cleared to see, and is offered only the actions that person could take
  • Signing, staking a position, and attesting are closed to agents in the system itself. There is no configuration that opens them
  • Every agent action carries the name of the person it acted for, and lands in the same record a human's would
  • Anything irreversible stops and asks first
